Owashtinong Chungaming is the name that was given to our drum by Mr. Frank Bush (Potawatomi) in 1996, who will be in our hearts forever. He translated this name in Potawatomi to mean Grand River Singers. We have been actively singing since just a few months before the naming of the drum. We enjoy bringing songs to the powwow circle. The members of the drum are of the Three Fire Nations, Odawa, Ojibway, and Potawatomi. Most of the members reside in the Grand Rapids area of Western Michigan.
